Obtained at a seed exchange in 2015, I was told this corn was planted as soon as the snow was off and the fields could be worked in the small village of Las Trampas. Las Trampas lies on the high road to Taos at an elevation of 8,000 feet. It turns out to germinate well in cooler soils and ripens in record time here in the valley. The stout 6 foot stalks take rough weather and the pearly white 7" ears are a treat.
