Jasmyn Rissee Pepper

Jasmyn Risee is a rare South African variety that bears hundreds of squat, oval peppers that ripen later in the season. That was about 100 days here. The fruit are a little over an inch in diameter and quite hot - spicier than most jalapenos. Plants are vigorous with a sprawling habit. This is an excellent pepper to pickle! The photo shows them green, and they can be used at this stage, but eventually turn a deep golden orange.
