A milder variety of New Mexico chile brought by a farmer, Emilio Ortega, to California in the 1890's. Anaheim is still grown in California and adapts to a wide variety of climates. It is larger than most of the native chiles and mellower, with a nice, sweet flavor. The short plants are vigorous and very productive. We'll send more than 60 seeds of this variety in the full packet. A sampler will get you 30 seeds.
