Purple Bumblebee

Purple Bumblebee is a handsome cherry tomato up to one inch in diameter and deep red with dark green stripes. It can develop a very sweet flavor, particularly if grown in a container or greenhouse where soil moisture can be monitored. This is one the chefs in Santa Fe like because not only is it beautiful in a salad, it holds very well. The thicker skin of the tomato means the texture is crunchier than most cherry tomatoes.
