Wild Child

  • Model: packet

This is a dwarf version of a cross I originally made to LA1777, a wild tomato species. It bears loads of pinkish orange cherries on a mounded plant about 1 foot tall. By midseason, it looks like there are more tomatoes than leaves. The flavor is fresh and crisp without the musky aroma of the wild parent. Wild Child inherits resistance to blight and cold tolerance from LA1777. The particulars of the genetics would indicate it is stable, but these lines have tricked me before.
