Farthest North was developed in North Dakota by crossing a red determinate tomato and a wild currant type. It is claimed to be a '40 day tomato' and is pretty close. The plants bear red-orange cherries with good flavor. The plant is quite small, barely reaching. 2 foot. It would work well in a container, I think. I grew them out in the field and they did fine, producing bunches of fruit even into the warmer part of the summer.
The variety definitely does well in cold, damp conditions and is very early.
40 seeds per packet.
