Patrick's Purple

My friend, Patrick, gave me seed he had saved from a tomato plant I'd given him. It was suppposed to be a smaller, purple grape tomato, but in fact was a perfect, round, purple slicing or salad tomato. Tomatoes don't get much more handsome than this one and the flavor is all you would expect - spicy and slightly salty.
I picked a lot of these for market this summer and it produced until frost. Vigorous plants reach 6 foot or more.
