Hidatsa Red Landrace

Raised by the Hidatsa tribe of the Dakotas, Hidatsa Red has a unique, melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich, beany taste. A thin skin means it cooks up quickly. This is a wonderful variety for bean soups and stews. The strain I raise shows a variety of shades of red and some speckling. The vigorous vines are excellent producers. Midseason
