This is a cayenne-type pepper introduced by the William Maule Seed Company of Philadelphia over a century ago. The slender, wrinkled peppers reach about 6 or 7 inches in length and are famous for their flavor and reliability. I sold a lot of them at the farmer's market this summer. They were quite early, about 75-80 days here from transplanting. You can fry them up or use them sliced in stews and soups. A packet has more than 40 seeds.
