Black Pearl

One of the world's most beautiful plants, Black Pearl is not only ornamental, it is a serious chili pepper. The glossy black foliage works well along the edge of a flower garden to provide contrast and texture. Bud-shaped upright peppers start out shiny black then turn a glowing red. The spiciness is right up there- around 30,000 Scofield. It is a quick, intense heat that dies down in two or three minutes. One of my favorites.
