Developed by Alan Bishop from crosses of Emeraude, aunt Ruby's German Green and Brandywine, Absinthe is an indeterminate plant that sets medium to large beefsteak tomatoes that are pale green tuning to amber. The solid fruit has a complex, even mysterious, flavor as you might expect from its parentage. The variety is quite productive beginning in about 75 days. That makes it a little later than Grub's Mystery green, which is very similar. Absinthe is a larger, regular-leaved plant though and seems to handle the heat better.
I don't have much seed this year, as I neglected to collect it in time, but I will put at least 35 seeds in a packet.
