Poona Kheera

This rare variety from Thailand takes a longer season, but at full ripeness has an intense sweetness difficult to describe. I didn't really know what a cucumber was about until I tasted one of these at the end of a season. The flesh is pure white with a crunchy texture. Poona Kheera is in great demand at our farmer's markets and we always sell every one. You may wish to peel the russeted skin, though it is not necessarily tough. About 50 days to first harvest from transplant, 70 days from seed. 25 seeds per packet.
