Chilhuacle Rojo

  • Model: packet

Starting at: $4.00

Chilhuacle Rojo is a key ingredient of the traditional mole rojo. They are widely grown in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. However, because you rarely see this chile outside of southern Mexico, it makes sense to grow some of your own. The are easily started and grown and bear broad-shouldered fruit about 3" long and 1 1/2" at the top. They ripen to a deep red brown in less than 90 days from transplanting. I will send about 30 seeds with the full packet - enough for several rows. A sampler contains about 15 seeds.
