Black Peony Poppy

I got this variety (Papaver paeoniflorum) a number of years ago in a seed exchange, and finally grew it out. It is a showy and very impressive plant with blue-green feathery leaves and brilliant purple, ruffled blossoms with dark centers. Each blossom lasts for more than a week. The plants reach about 3 foot, so they would be wonderful at the back of a flowerbed. It is best to start these inside and I send plenty of the tiny, black seeds.
