Chile de Arbol

The tall 'tree' chile of Mexico reaches about 3 feet and sets loads of slender, hot fruit. Chile of the strain I have is medium, about 30,000 Scoville units I'd guess. The fruit is bright red and 2 inches long - a bit longer than what is commonly grown. I got the original seed from Territorial Seed Company in 1993. They dry very easily, keeping the bright color and make a great chile powder. You also see the whole dried chiles used in spicy pickles and preserves. This is one I grow every year for myself. I'll send 40 seeds with the full packet by first class mail. A sample packet will contain 20 seeds.
