This is no ordinary yellow pear tomato. The variety is believed to have originated in Russia and arrived in the States by way of Ireland, where it apparently gained its name. The PL plants are big, healthy producers of these deep yellow 1 inch tomatoes which just burst with flavor. They tend to set in flushes about every week for a constant supply until frost.
